History:
Tokiya lost his parents when he was young to a car accident. His sister and himself were the only survivors. The two of them moved from different homes and shelters as well as relatives here and there. Even though it was a rough life, his sister eventually found a home for the two of them to live in. His sister worked endlessly to feed Tokiya and herself and even though it was a rough life, they had loved each other so it didn't matter that poverty was their enemy. He learned a lot of things from his sister such as he needed to study harder so he could get into a university and graduate so he could help support his sister as well. Those were the days until their simply happy lives came to an end. Two mysterious thieves raided their small apartment attempting to steal the Mikagami Heirloom, Ensui. His sister, Mikagami Mifuyu died protecting the heirloom and her younger brother.

She was stabbed in the back. When the medics came to deliver her to the hospital, Mifuyu handed Tokiya Ensui. It was the family Heirloom that she had protected with her life along with her brother. She told him to protect Ensui and return Ensui would protect him. After her soft words, she passed away afterwards leaving Tokiya alone.

Tokiya had become enraged because of his sister's death. His mind was plagued with thoughts of wanting to avenge his gentle sister. Those kinds of thoughts actually led him to his Sensei, Meguri Kyoza. He directly asked this man to teach him out to kill people. It was then Meguri had started to reveal the tru identity of Ensui to Tokiya. He showed the boy how to manifest a blade out of water and how to control all the true forms of nature. Those forms being Solid, Liquid and Gas. This man had also mentioned that he could teach Tokiya how to utilize Ensui since he was the master of the Hyoumon Ken, a special fighting style that goes in par with Ensui's power. That day he accepted Tokiya as his apprentice. Tokiya took a total of seven years to master the Hyoumon Ken. He left the mountains afterwards and traveled into the city. He enrolled into Nashikiri High School. It was also the same school that Rekka, Fuuko, and Domon were enrolled in. He then excelled in his academics and his teachers praised him that he could get into a prestigious college such as Tokyo University.

Tokiya observed Rekka from afar most of the time but he found out about Rekka through Kage Houshi (Kagerou). Needless to say he was not too interested in the teen but the two of them met officially when Rekka accidentally bumped into him in the hallway. He showed a form of disdain towards the boy and for a moment he was distracted when he glanced at Sakoshita Yanagi, who was almost a striking double of his deceased sister. He later confronted Rekka and quickly started and ended their fight. He then said that Rekka should stay away form Yanagi because she would get hurt because of him. Rekka distanced himself because of that. Yanagi was hurt as well. He wasn't fond of breaking up people's love lives, but it was something he felt that he had to do in order to prevent another tragedy from happening.

He offered to go with Yanagi to the Amusement Park in place of Rekka. Eventually he took her to his favourite part of the Amusement Park, the Mirror House. He then proceeded to tell the girl about his past and after that he had cut her hair so that she would look even more like his sister. After cutting her hair and getting a mouthful from Rekka, he ended up fighting the boy and losing in the end. Rekka promised to protect Yanagi and if he had ever failed, he'd kill himself Tokiya said instead of him committing suicide, he would be the one to end Rekka's life if Yanagi ended up dead.

Not soon after, Yanagi was kidnapped by Kurei's men. Tokiya learned about it quickly and found his way towards the location of Kurei and his men. There he met up with Rekka. He also reminded Rekka that he had failed yet again to to protect Yanagi. With that said, he took over the battle with Koganei Karou. As a result he did win the battle against Kaoru and he also respected Kaoru in his own way. He believes this young boy is a formidable opponent and he was worth praise for it. Despite being cold and aloof still, he was starting to let himself become a bit kinder. When they reached Yanagi, he cooperated with Rekka, Fuuko, and Domon to save Yanagi against Kurei. Tokiya was easily beaten by Kurei even though the four of them teamed up against this man. As a result Rekka managed to throw off Kurei. After that they saved Yanagi and returned to their somewhat peaceful lives.

At least before a new storm came in. Hokage has been invited to the Ura Butou Satsujin. This was an invite that was not to be declined. Kurei made sure that they all accepted it. If they didn't, death would await them. He told them it wasn't hard to kill them off. Tokiya once again takes up his blade and battles alongside his new found companions. His reasons this time were to protect Yanagi and also to find the truth behind his sister's death. He was aiming to also find the bastard that had killed his sister. Seeing at this point he had not given up on getting revenge for his deceased sister. As aloof as ever, he enters the rign and fights one win after another for Hokage. Each win was easily won once he figured out his opponents movement.

Some majour fights that should be mentioned would be his fight with Mokuren and how he despises people like him who attack a skilled warrior using dirty tactics. He was not very fond of those. Especial towards fighters he respected and in this case it was Kaoru who was tricked. Tokiya had eventually found his way through Mokuren's mutated body and freezing it over. He ends up saving Kaoru without much effort and also securing a win for Hokage. Tokiya had a striking record of all wins and no losses up until he fought Kai. Kai was also a student to the Hyoumon Ken technique. He mastered it within a Year whereas Mikagami had taken seven years. Kai explained to Mikagami the reason why he was also a master of this technique.

He definitely did not believe it at first but eventually from the movements and attacks, he learned that Kai was speaking the truth. This was probably one of his most difficult battles. Tokiya lost this fight but he came out with a different thought on life and with words of wisdom he started to slowly change. He learned after that fight form Kai that his sister Mikagami Mifiuyu was murdered by none other than their Sensei, Meguri Kyoza. The man that Tokiya had respected for most of his life. He had become confused and surprised by this but he would eventually seek out the answers. In the end Rekka and Kurei destroyed the Arena with their flames. Rekka ended up being the victor and Hokage was crowned the winners of the Ura Butou Satsujin. The members returned to a fairly normal life again and once again they were hit with yet another omen. The members were being targeted by Mori Koran and he ordered for their assassination one by one. Kurei at the moment was no more so his team of assassins had been abandoned.

The remaining members joined Mori Koran. During that short time before their assassinating attempts, Mikagami had returned to his training grounds to find his Sensei. Only he did not find the man there. Quizzical and concerned, he returns to city life again. He runs into Kaoru being beaten up by one of the assassins. He took action right away to save the boy and the fight came to an abrupt stop when the assassin was called back.

The next morning, the members met up in Hokage base in the mountains to discuss the situation. They were speaking about being almost killed and a strange hint to go to where "Tendou Jigoku" was. Kagerou has heard of that and told them that it was a dangerous Madogu. She doesn't know where it is. It seemed that Koukuu knew because Mikagami had seen through his lies pretty easily. Joker makes his appearance and tells them that he can lead them to the Tendou Jigoku as well as giving them valuable information on Mori Koran's whereabouts and what he was planning on doing. Everyone agreed to go there and angered, Koukuu returns to Rekka and lets them do as they please. When the group advances to the area, they managed to open the bath with some difficulties. Hokage met up with three bandits that were cursed by the Tendou Jigoku and they were begging for them to kill. Rekka had no heart for that and Yanagi was seriously upset. Mikagami eventually uses Absolute Zero on them and allowing them to sleep for a short time until they defeated the Tendou Jigoku. As they made their way into the dark caverns. They switched off to two different teams to go two different directions.

They decided that by playing Jan Ken Pon. Mikagami ended up with Fuuko and Kaoru but clearly he would rather be with Yanagi. With that the groups headed in their respective directions.

Personality:
He is considered the most calculating and cruelest of the members of Hokage. A heartless one at it. Kurei has also mentioned this as well. He shows no difference to his enemies and they are all treated on an equal ground. He is not as spineless as Recca when it comes to hurting girls. Gender does not matter to him. He will strike them down if they stand in his way. (Just think of the time during the fighting tournament where he struck down Neon while Rekka hesitated to throw the killing blow.) That is the kind of young man he is. Another important thing about this man is that he runs on revenge. His drive through life at the beginning half of the series is to find the murderer of his sister, Mifuyu Mikagami. He would not rest until he gets his revenge.

It doesn't matter what he had to do to get that revenge, he would do it. He had watched his sister die before him and that frustrating feeling of not being able to protect her still seethes in his body for half of the series. He is considered a genius by his sensei Meguri Kyoza as well as he was quite academically gifted as well. This sort of intelligence adds to strategic and calculating nature. It gives him the upper hand in fights that not many have the ability to muster. He is able to memorize attack patterns of his opponents and their techniques and he finds different methods of shutting them down without much remorse. He's completely cold-blooded when it comes to obstacles that stand in his way. He's that sort of human being that you wouldn't want to be associated it with easily anyway. His speech patterns varies as well. Sometimes, he can be speaking pleasantly and friendly, appearing to be a delicate and simple minded young man.

He can also come off as somewhat polite. At other times, his tone can become quite cold and dark, in which could give people chills from just listening to him speak. He would definitely never let go of his nature of speaking down to others and calling them names as well as questioning their intelligence. Tokiya acts a lot gentler with Sakoshita Yanagi on the fact that she resembles his late sister a lot. While he may have been degrading towards other people, his actions towards her a lot different. He doesn't speak to her rudely, nor does he use sarcastic remarks or insults. Also because Sakoshita Yanagai resembles his sisters beyond more than just appearance, he feels protective of her and will do anything in his power to protect her even if it means he has to play the role of the bad guy.

Though during those chapters of the series he had thought Sakoshita Yanagi could be his replacement for his deceased sister. He definitely shares a dislike for people who play dirty. Those who play sly games with him, usually end up on the receiving end of his cold blade. He doesn't take well to cowards who attack people from behind. It is an insult to the skilled fighters if they were to be subjected to such ridicule. He certainly hates people like that as he showed through him destroying Mokuren to save Koganei Kaoru. Koganei Kaoru is one of the few people he actually shows respects for. For a young boy to be skilled in the usage of such a complicated Madogu is certainly worth his words of compliment. Tokiya in his own way shows that he cares about Koganei Kaoru as well.

He may have seen his own companions as just a stepping stone for his revenge for some time before truly accepting them as part of his life. He just needs them to prove it to him that they were worthy. (Such as the time Rekka had blocked an incoming attack from Neon and her teammate. Rekka proved to Mikagami that he was worthy. That and Yanagi had also noticed during their little spat, Mikagami had always been in the way when Rekka gets sent back. He stopped him from having a heavy fall on the stadium.) The events with the Hokage and meetings with certain people, he's started to gradually open up to emotions. He went through the most change, when he fought Kai of Uruha Kurenai.

Kai was a man that was driven by his desire to defeat Mikagami. Kai had won the battle with Mikagami and in as a result he killed himself seeing that the battle was the peak of his ambitions. Before he died, Kai had given Mikagami words of wisdom. He had told the younger boy that he had a huge life ahead of him and friends that cared about him deeply. They would be sad if he were to die. He also reminded the boy that the path of vengeance was not a path that he should continue to take. He should not be like him and live in a dark cold world. Those words made Mikagami suddenly realize that revenge wasn't the only thing he had to be concerned about. Whether he had accepted it or not, he had companions and friends who cared about him. There seemed to be a bigger change that started to blossom inside of him at this point.

Mikagami even cracked a gentle smile that was rarely seen on his stoic face. Kai also revealed to Mikagami that the one that killed his sister was his sensei, the man that he had respected deeply and looked up to when he was training. That caused Mikagami to be confused inside and afterwards he sought out his master to find the truth. He becomes somewhat merciful and lenient towards his enemies later. He believes that's the case because of the people that are close to him. Without them he wouldn't exactly be the person he is at the end of the series. He would still be the same. By the end of the series, Tokiya eventually left his life of vengeance behind and living rather peacefully than darkly. He, despite being cold towards his companions, cares about them in different way from just simple comradeship.

Game Specific:

Arcana: Emperor
Justification:
UPRIGHT

authority - He comes off as a more adult like figure of the Hokage. Despite having his teammates constantly bickering and doing silly things, he's almost always aloof and collected. He stand tall among the members and he doesn't back down from anything. He won't let anyone man or woman stand in the way of his goal. If they did, he would not hesitate to stop them with any means necessary.

leadership - He's not usually obvious with this, but sometimes he acts as the unspoken leader. Always keeping his cool. If Rekka wasn't obviously the team leader, he would most likely be close to that. He takes his fights seriously and he won't be easily swayed.

decision making skills - Out of all of the Hokage, he is the most dangerous and crafty member of the team. His intelligence level goes beyond a normal teenage boy and quick to make decisions and judgments. These are mostly his fighting decisions. Once he sets himself to a goal, he will see through the end. He's very cunning merciless.

REVERSED

loss of authority - There are moments in the series where Tokiya has completely lost his composure and his gracefulness that he usually carries with him in battles and outside of battles. For examples the expressions he makes when there are sensitive subjects that get to him. He is also a dark character whose expression sometimes can make a person cringe in fear.

manipulation of power - Despite being aloof and collective, he cold manipulate things to his will. Just as he separated Rekka and Yanagi for a short time. He also manages to end up cohering Yanagi to go with him to the Mirror House and then cutting her hair in the process. Because he is also a great swordsman he often degrades people rudely and coldly.

indecision - When he is faced with the unexpected, he loses his composure and losing that composure make him vulnerable and easier to read than his usual self. It also makes him feel a sense of insecurity that he doesn't usually have.

Samples:

First Person Sample:
[ The cell phone clicks on for a few minutes before he speaks relatively calm into the phone... as if he was attempting to warily test it for anything hostile. You could never let your guard down. ]

Tendou Jigoku.

[ a cold tone. There was no face on the phone but a voice voice clearly belonged to a young man. He clearly doesn't sound pleased. After a long pause he speaks again. ]

Is there a purpose for this? Another one of Mori Koran's tricks perhaps? [ He was about to say more when he hears something not too far from him. The phone gets dropped with a clank. ]

Yes, clearly a trap. [ because apparently he thinks that the Shadows that are coming at him right now are part of Mori Koran's army of nutcases and considering the Tendou Jigoku was a dangerous Madogu...anything could happen. He steps back realizing Ensui had not been responding to him correctly. The weapon remained dormant. Despite all that he seemed relatively calm. At least as calm as he could be. ]

I won't be easily defeated. The likes of you are not worth anything. [ The feed cuts as he moves the device out of his line of fighting. ]

Third Person Sample:
After the feed being cut from his attempt to test the cell phone, he's standing clearly in the line of vision of a few Shadows. His eyes seemingly showed no emotions and his body movement all but ceased. Ensui had proven to be completely useless since he assumed it might have been Tendou Jigoku doing something or two he really wasn't in his world anymore. He had sharp senses so everything seemed off hand. There were buildings surrounding this area that appeared completely different from the ones he had seen at home. He ignored that fact for now while he figured out to deal with these creatures.

Even without Ensui, he was a formidable opponent. The first Shadow moved towards him quickly as he dodged it almost fluidly. Another came and he moved out of the way just as fast. He needed something to defend himself with and tucking Ensui into his clothes, he aimed for a metal pipe that was lying around. He didn't know what these things were or what they were capable of but they were mindless. They were completely mindless creatures who had a one track mind. Their movements were fast but inaccurate. They were sloppy. Clearly these things were not human either. He let the third get at him as he moved briefly again to the side and landing on a giant trash pile behind him.

The next second the teen made a move towards the Shadows, jumping off his temporary cushion. He slashes at one of the Shadows quickly sending them into a nearby wall and having them dissolve into nothing. He whipped his head around to slashed another one with the pipe sending it into a whole different direction. The last one came straight at him and he slammed the pipe down on it as it was within a few inches of his body. The blob also dissolved as the body ended up exploding all over the teenage boy. There was an empty look in his eyes as he watched the thing wiggle until it was no more. He was not enjoying this. Not one bit.

He wasn't in the mood to play with monsters that he had no idea of and he had more important things to get to such as finding his friends and protecting Yanagi. He also had to find Meguri his sensei. He needed answers and standing around attacking mindless blobs was not part of his plan. He moved quickly as he cleared his temporary way. Wordless as always he kept moving seeing that he was minourly being chased by more of them. They were persistent. He gave them that much but not worth his time. He kept the pipe with him to ensure that he would not be unarmed.
